Peace Goods is a fair trade organization focused on fighting poverty through providing employment opportunities for textile artists in developing countries. Peace Goods was started by returned Peace Corps volunteer, Kyley Schmidt, after she spent 2 1/2 years in the central highlands of Madagascar establishing this women's silk weaving cooperative. After returning to her home state of North Carolina in 2005, Kyley founded Peace Goods to provide a U.S. market for these talented weavers.
