The rooms are named, not numbered, which makes them slightly more challenging to find, particularly given the 3 dimensional hillside layout. But I recommend avoiding "Palummella" unless you rise early, as it's directly below the breakfast patio, and the daily sound of chairs scraping across the floor starts around 6:30am. Breakfast was impressive, with all the modern requirements of a healthy diet taken care of, including a blender, fresh juice options, and a super foods bar with all the grains, seeds and dried fruits you could want in your Greek yogurt. The driveway is tight, but manageable, with extra parking on the street if the diners have taken it all up. Mostly great service, but having to retrieve ice from the bar, 2 floors up, as our fridge had no ice facility, was a nightly chore before enjoying a nightcap on the balcony.

This is a beautiful hotel to stay, relax, take in the views, hike the Path of the Gods, and Enjoy delicious food and hospitality. This is my second visit and I am lucky to be staying four nights this time. I have work that requires WiFi and have an amazing signal in my second lower garden view room, which still overlooks the ocean, but th signal was manageable with a little phone maneuvering for video conferencing. This was a bonus. Breakfast is lovely also. Laundry service was great in the very hot weather and the hotel staff are very helpful and kind. No water bottles in the rooms this time, which I miss.. but you can drink the tap water so not a huge deal. This is a boutique style hotel, quaint, and you feel like you are in the clouds. Perfect spot for some creative work.
We had an amazing stay at Bacco! Absolutely stunning location with lovely views, lovely staff, and lovely food and wine. Our room was very comfortable and clean, although we spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful outdoors (the Path of the Gods hike is SO amazing!). Would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to be back soon!
Very good place and the views are to die for. We got here as part of a tour which we pre-paid so am unsure of pricing at this restaurant but our experience was fantastic. We had to chose between a fish course or a meat course - we chose meat and all dishes came with paired wine. It was a warm day but the tables outside we're quite pleasant thanks to the breeze and of course the stunning views. Service was excellent and extremely English friendly.
Fantastic restaurant with authentic recipes and flavours, and a stunning view. Slightly cooler than down below as it is at 650m!
My husband LOVED THE OLIVE OIL! Haha this place was our first dinner destination in Italy and it was amazing!!! The food, presentation and the bread and oil at the beginning!! Truly worth visiting especially if you’re not from the area or just driving past!
LOVED this hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and welcomed. The restaurant is a MUST! The food was out of this world. The views are stunning, rooms and clean and comfy, and the staff is very helpful. My only warning is that the walls are thin and you can hear everything. But we didn't mind be because everything else was 10/10
The staff at Hostaria di Bacco is very attentive and care deeply about their work. We arrived very late after a long drive and the reception was extremely understanding and accomodating. The rooms are clean with beautiful views of the sea and the terrace outside the restaurant as well has stunning views. We were not able to make it to the restaurant which we heard great reviews about but the breakfast was very lovely - capuccino, fresh orange juiceand the fresh ricotta were all delicious and Fernando was a lovely host. Thank you!
