A long but relatively easy trail with breathtaking views. Not recommended for small children. Love what the locals have done with the maps and sign in book. You can tell they put a lot of pride into this trail! Also, if your not a fan of snakes probably not the best trail for you. I saw 14!

One of the most beautiful costal hikes I have ever done! There are so many beautiful views to take in. A bit wet in some spots and after about 6km outbound, we seemed to have lost the trail. Some parts were very grown in toward the end. Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes to get past the pebble beaches.

This is a really great trail, and well maintained with care by the locals. It's a good hike for kids too (depending on how far you go). We were impressed by the recent additions at the start of the hike - the log book and walking stick depot, how cool. We went to the beach which is the first stop / it wasn't marked as far as we could tell, maybe they could add signs for the stops. There were lots of variety of flowers along the way as well as dragonflies & butterflies. We saw a snake and unfortunately lots of horseflies, so bring some bug spray! This was a really beautiful walk - there was sturdy planks covering all the swampy/muddy/damp areas and a nice sturdy bridge to cross the deep black stream. 3 members of our 5 person hike party had sandals on and nobody got wet (except for when we swam in the ocean.) There is a shipwreck on the beach which made for some fun scavenging. My brother took a load of garbage off the beach with us - if you do the hike, do your part and grab a piece of garbage to take back with you. My sister Jacky said every piece of garbage you take from the beach is a wild animal's life saved.

Amazing trail! We have a cottage in Gabarus and have not hiked the full trail until this year and totally regret that. If you can make it, go for it! Stunning. 30 minutes of hiking through the woods and up to two hours or more of hiking coastline...get there if you can!
