Terrible. Like most of the rest of the County and City of Gainesville offices they are using covid to shirk their responsibilities. You can't talk to anybody to even get a question answered and calls will likely not be returned. Note that there are 5 reviews, 4 are 1 star and even though old it appears nothing has changed. The 1 five star rating is from a person who is now one of the County Commissioners. Yeah, I'm going to believe that one.

Knowledgeable and helpful. They try their very best to help people come into compliance before bringing them to the code enforcement board. And during COVID they provided education and guidance and had one of the most dangerous front line jobs - continuously educating those that were willfully non compliant about the mask ordinance.

Complaints are ignored people that work here are unprofessional and rude needs to be overhauled!!!!

Absolutely useless. Half the time they don’t follow up on complaints, and when they actually do they can never seem to find an issue or be able to enforce anything, even if there are very clear violations right in front of them.

This place has the worst customer service ever. Literally called 100 times in an hour about something i went in office about over a week ago. Still habent recieved an answer to the problem and they still wont answer the damn phone

Worst permitting department in State of Florida. They open their department when ever they want . Friday’s they say they are open till 1 pm but they are not open . Who ever is in charge of this place need to be fired ASAP .
