Pearse is a fount of information. When it comes to jewelry and gemstones he really knows his stuff . Of course being a gemologist that would be expected, the unexpected part is he will take the time to share his knowledge. I had taken a couple of pieces of jewelry to him for appraisal . The day I went to pick them up I ended sticking around for about half an hour piking his brain and he was more than happy to educate me. As for the appraisals I had them done for insurance purposes so I didn't need anything fancy . The appraisal described each piece and gave a replacement cost , they are on plain copy paper with the stores letter head and cost was 150 tax for all 3 . Perfect for insurance purposes. I would recommend Hays Jewelry for these reasons.
