I went there 2 times so far, the store was pretty cool, but the owner couldn't keep his words when we talked about to sell my Final Fantasy 7 Remake First Class edition at first place. He offered 150 at first and I told him that I will think about it. However, when I brought the set to this store 2 weeks later, the owner slashed his offer by 50% (75) and said the eBay didn't sell it for that much and his store needs profits. I showed them the completed sold list on ebay, its still over 300 for display without game.. So I will never go to any place again if the owner couldn't keep their words.

Great place to buy old or new games. Chris was a great help, will definitely be back.

I traded in 100 worth of stuff and confirmed with an employee before trading everything that you can pre-order items with store credit and now they're backpedaling and saying they don't do pre-orders. I pre-ordered an item on 6/12/2020 invoice #168666 with no issues, but now all of a sudden it's a problem and that "new game pre-orders costs the store money". They've had this pre-order policy for over a decade - my brother and I pre-ordered KOF 11 on PS2 through this place back in like 2007. They have good prices and deals otherwise, but I dont appreciate the dishonesty. I have 80 or 90 in store credit which I probably will never spend since all they have is the same 6 switch games that have been sitting there for the last 4 months.

This place is quite a find, it's near our new PO Box, so stopped in yesterday to see a HUGE selection of retro games, much better than Gamestop. Tons of Wii titles. Owner was super-friendly also.

I bought a Sega system and bought two games here yesterday and the third was free. The person that sold to me was very decent. One of the games didnt work, so I went back to exchange it today. I walk in and I tell the manager, Chriss, that this game does not work. Then he tells me he can't exchange it because the game was free. I explain that it was buy two get one free. And he tells me the same thing. I told him that I was told that all products sold here work and are in good condition. Then he tells me if we are going to have an issue here. He was so defensive and told me to calm down, but I was totally calm. So I asked if he is the manager to which he replies yes. I told him I can't be any nicer to him and he said...I guess we are done here, leave my store now! This person has some serious issues, and he seemed out of wack!! Way to loose customers buddy!!

I have been here numerous times over the years as I am not a big fan of another used game store that can be found all over Gainesville. I can't recall the name but I know that if you want a GAME you STOP in and pay way too much... Anywho.... I have always had a great experience with R.U. Game- the staff is always friendly and helpful and they have a good selection of games. I have been playing videogames for pretty much my entire life, starting at the NES and continuing non-stop through the current generation of consoles so I have a pretty good idea of which games are good, (Witcher 3:Wild Hunt, for example), and which are bad, (pretty much anything by EA or Ubisoft...) so I have a well developed sense of what a used game should sell for. R.U Game does a really good job of pricing a game at a point where it is fair to both buyer and seller. (I mean, c'mon; they are allowed to make a profit. They're a business not a charity.) I just walked out today with a copy of Ghost of Tsushima for as cheap or cheaper than anywhere else in the area. So, great store with a great selection. We are lucky to have such a place in G'ville.
