Absolutely a gem in the English Heritage crown. Beautiful medieval hall all fully preserved and a delight to visit. Spent over 2 hours wandering around and with the free audio tour managed to be both informed and fascinated throughout. The lovely people who worked there were so helpful and enthusiastic they really added to the day....from the young man on the entrance to the embroiderers we encountered in costume. An unbelievably great day out.

Tucked away in the centre of Gainsborough is this Tudor Hall which probably was on its own but is now surrounded by houses. There are many rooms including a large hall (I have seen it used for various uses on social media over the years). You can go up on the roof and get a view over the town and towards West Burton Power Station.
A building steeped in English history with visits from Kings and Queens. Walk through the door and your taken back to times gone by. A great visit and well worth the entry fee.
Very good place! Friendly staff make you feel welcome. Very nice café serving mainly sandwiches, soft drinks, tea, coffee etc. The building is very historic so ideal for anyone who is into historical places. It is also very good for anyone into photography as it does have very good photo opportunities. Good for the whole family including children young and old. Definitely recommend visiting if your in the area, 10/10!
Beautiful place nestled in the town. Amazing amount of history there. Great to see the English heratige looking after such gems. There was also a live action role play going on that day too. A must go.if you have kids or are interested in english history
