This is a really nice park that was quite busy over the end of year holiday period. We walked the trail that circles the lake, which was pretty easy, other than the near constant mud, which made for slow going. That may have just been due to the only substantial recent snow of the season. It took about 2.5 hours for us to complete the loop. One of the highlights was walking through a variety of forest and field areas. There was a nice mix of broadleaf deciduous and evergreen areas, though colors were mostly muted, as you'd expect during winter. Plentiful parking near the visitors center and in other areas around the park. There are lots of benches along the trail in the more heavily traveled areas, and lots of picnic tables scattered all around.

Came on an early weekday and I was one of the few on the lake. Very peaceful and quiet. I didn’t notice much of any pollution around and the wildlife was very active. Even saw a beaver! Didn’t catch any fish this trip but this is one of the prettiest lakes I’ve been to so far, as a nature-lover. As far as I can tell, there’s an entrance fee on the weekend. There’s watercraft rentals, but if you bring your own there’s a hand launch ramp, so no need to worry about boat traffic around it. The fishing dock looked decent but maybe not when it’s busy. It appears there’s a trail that goes around the entire lake and looks really nice. It’s pretty active and I think a bird watcher would really benefit.
One of the nicest, lakes I've been to! If you love the water, and woods it has a nice beginner to intermediate level trail! Roughly 4 miles or so completely around the lake! Close to the highway to jump off for an hour or so to enjoy the lake and trail! Usually pretty quiet this time of year! Summer is their busiest time! So, if you love nature or just want a quiet place to meditate! Clopper lake has it! Great for couples, and family! Dogs allowed, but must be leashed! Hope you enjoy as much as I do! PS: trail is marked with blue paint on the tree's so you won't get lost or hung up in the bushes!
Clopper lake is seneca State park and you must go through seneca park entrance and the gate is not open until 10am on weekends - so i don’t know why Google has the two parks as different listings - it’s completely wrong - it’s the same place and the opening hours fir this place is incorrect
A beautiful local park where you can get away without driving far. See for yourself and enjoy a peaceful walk.
