Everything was super delicious and tasted very authentic. Prices are very low. I only wish I could order in advance for large orders of a variety of bread instead of having to come in super early to get the bread I want. I drive all the way from DC for this bread. Best by far!

Discovered GuateBakery on the map when planning a bike trip through Gaithersburg. Had to check it out. Prices are low so I had to get quite a bit to meet their credit card minimum. Everything was clearly freshly prepared and tasted great. I would definitely plan to go back if I pass through Gaithersburg again. The chile rellenos was very different than the Mexican item of the same name was excellent. There was a different name for what would be a concha in a Mexican panaderia, but it was very good, with a light airy bread. Got 5 different cookies which I brought home and enjoyed thru the afternoon, evening and next morning. Definitely recommend GuateBakery. Sam

Second time coming in on Sunday and they are out of sweet bread. Literally shelves are empty. They don’t make enough for the day. I come in and say hello to the young ladies there and they don’t greet you back. Poor customer service.

Wonderful pastries at very reasonable prices. I was not familiar with Guatemalan bakery items but decided to try them. The owner is so nice - he explained everything, made some recommendations, and is just very helpful and friendly. I now go regularly to pick up goodies.

Love their bread. But today I walked and the old man with glasses told me how pretty I was and I said thank you but he kept going and also said he loved the way I walk(wierd!). I don't feel like going here anymore. It's pretty disturbing!!
