We booked to stay in this place after seeing some good reviews on Trip Advisor. Little did we realize that the reviews were several years old. When we got there the owner had forgotten we were coming. She and her husband were totally disorganized but seemed very nice people. Very friendly and kind. Whilst we sat and drank orange juice with Lakmalee, her husband quickly attended to our room - well that is what he said he was doing anyway. After quite a long wait we were told the room was ready. Even walking up the stairs to our room we could see considerable dirt and grubbiness. We were shown our room. It was absolutely awful. We shut the door to our room and tried to assess the situation. There were far too many beds in the room to start with. You had to climb over some of the beds to get to the others. There was an air conditioner up on the wall but we were unable to get cold air out of it. The room was extremely hot. The bathroom was a disaster insofar as cleanliness was concerned. Heaven knows what Lakmalee's husband was doing when he was supposedly cleaning the room. We realized that staying there was not an option so we said we wanted to cancel our booking. As we came out of our room we could see another room where the bed was piled high with clothing in a mess. This couple were certainly not in a position to host guests. It was a disaster. We were glad to get out of there.
