Been with BWeye for the past few years, but the service has declined since Dr. McKay and the other previous employees left. My eye examination appt was lost at the end of this year and they were unable to get me in when needed. My wife kept her appt and never received a call from when her glasses were ready. This is not acceptable service to me.

My children have been to the Glen Burnie office and Waugh Chapel the past 3-4 years and they were very good. Did mgmt change at Waugh Chapel? They called me a few months ago to reschedule the 3 kids appts. due to COVID. I called and left a msg to reschedule. Never heard back from them and I called them a day or two before the initial appt. I had to reschedule and wait a month. Then the day of the rescheduled appt. they call me and tell me they don't take our insurance for the past 2 years. We went there last year and they took our insurance. I looked in my network and they are listed. I looked on BWE website and they take our insurance. Now I have to find a doctor and wait a while again for my children to be seen. This must be a blessing in disguise.
I have been coming to BWeye for years, never had a bad experience. Today the doctor doing my eye exam seemed to not have any clue what she was doing at all. I did not leave the office feeling confident about my prescription at all. If she was being trained, I should have been told that. It seemed as if she was being assisted by someone below her. I don’t feel as though the actual eye exam was thorough what so ever. I have never left a review for any company or website but I left the office so genuinely annoyed leaving the office that I had to. I paid 50 dollars for absolutely no reason because I will be going to see another doctor who actually knows what they are doing to make sure my eyes are ok. I will not be returning to see this doctor
Went here for my last eye exam and glasses purchase. Was very satisfied. I received a couple texts from them that it was time for my next appointment, so I called almost three weeks ago to schedule appointment. Unfortunately, they don't seem to answer phones or return calls. I've since made two more calls and left two more messages - last call was at 9:00 am this morning. 6 hours later, I just set up appointment online with another provider - so much easier than waiting for a call back. My time is just as important as yours. I'll go somewhere that values me.
Worse eye contact fitting I have ever been to. Dr. MCKay gave me the wrong prescription then switch them and gave me the new prescription and didn’t allow me to try them on while there, to see if they were right. But, instead he said if I had any problems to make an another appointment and pay another 110 for the visit, and took the next person back. I was given a set of five disposable contacts in a box to take home in my hand no case, no cleanser, not even a bag... for my very first contacts ever.
Reviews are correct. I have tried to call the office multiple times and nobody answers. They do not have an answering service either. I was going to switch my eye care there.... I wont.
Dr. McKay & Holly (at the front desk) were absolutely amazing! I needed an emergency appointment for a recurring eye condition & they were more than willing to accommodate me the same day. I have never received such outstanding care & concern; even my husband commented that my other doctors didn't seem to show the attention that Dr. McKay did. He is a wonderful and very personable doctor. I would recommend Dr. McKay & this office in Gambrills, MD for any of your eye care needs. I just love Dr. McKay & his staff!!!
Dr. McKay was amazing, with treating my uveitis in just a few short weeks. Holly was wonderful with scheduling my appointment around my work schedule. Thank you all for an amazing first experience with my eyes.
