Gangotri lake view point is on the way to horsley hills. This view point is on the left side when going to horsley hills and a little bit downside and difficult to see first time. The view here is awesome in the mornings with chilled water and fog. The place is lonely and there is no much visitors here.

It doesn't take too long, it is just beside the road. Very nice and quiet place. Will recommend stopping by if no one else is there.

Just a stop by place with a pond at side covered all around with trees. You can stop here for a couple photo shots and move ahead. Road's condition is quite good and seems to be well maintained by local authorities.

I would love to see this Lake and the forest area cleaned up a bit and maintained better by the forest authorities. There are loads of travellers clearly. They've all left their plastic and glass waste along the Lake and within the forest. It's such a shame considering it is such a serene, pleasant and calm place. This pollution from travellers really needs to stop and AP Tourism and Forest Rangers need to install some super strict laws about literring and waste segregation. Really my fellow travellers, we can all be a little mindful and conscious. This is earth is being used by us, show some gratitude.
