Resting place of Tipu Sultan and his family members. Including his father Hyder Ali mother Fakhr-Un-Nisa. It was built by Tipu sultan and tipu sultan was buried after the seize of Srirangapatana in 1799 by british. Small guided tour is available inside the gumbaz. Paid parking is available but at the entrance so many people will call you for Horse Riding which is little unprofessional as per my point of view. The place you can complete the visit within 15 to 20 minutes. Inside the gumbaz you can feel the breeze in Hot seasons as well. Well planned built I can say. Surrounded by a garden. If you are visiting the Daria Daulat bag and Sangam this is a must visit place. The Gumbaz was raised by Tipu Sultan in 1782-84 at Srirangapatna to serve as a mausoleum for his father and mother. The mausoleum was surrounded by a cypress garden which is said to have different species of flowering trees and plants collected by Tippu Sultan from Persia, Ottoman Turkey, Kabul and French Mauritius The original carved doors of the mausoleum have been removed and are now displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The present doors made of ebony and decorated with ivory were gifted by Lord Dalhousie

Definitely a must-do, to visit this burial place of Tipu and his parents. Outside are many more burials, including of his wife and son. It is free to go in and wander around. Pictures not allowed inside, but OK throughout the grounds. Masjid-E-Aqsa is there facing the Mausoleum.

This is the resting place of Tipu Sultan and his parents Hyder Ali and his wife. This place is really well maintained with beautiful gardens. This place also has a beautiful mosque right beside the tombs. There is no entry fee to this place. Outside this place you will see quite a few shops for a quick bite and curios shopping. This place is 1 km away from the Summer Palace or Dariya Daulata Bagh.
The final resting place for Tipu Sultan. Entry here is free but you need to keep your footwear outside for which they charge you 10rs. The mausoleum contains the tombs of Tipu and his father and mother. The gumbaz is great architectural marvel. Must visit.
