Its a nice place to stop and see. The road leading there is not paved. We didn't pay for guided tour so we couldn't go inside the buildings but were allowed to walk around the property

A very cool, interesting place to see. The ladies at the information center are informative and very friendly. It is cash only as they do not have any Internet service there. It is ironic as it is the birthplace of telecommunications and states so on a plaque by the lighthouse but no interac or credit card signal is available. If you pay a small fee, they will give you a guided tour inside the building and lighthouse. It is one of the oldest lighthouses. We couldn't go in because we did not pay but we still walked around and looked through the windows. They also have a lovely picnic area there and toilets available. For those who are mobile challenged there are stairs to go down to the lighthouse area.

The location is lovely. (You're able to get a more elevated view of the cliffs you drove past to get there.) Extremely scenic.
