A friend bought me a plateau of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes and lots of other goodies as well as a cream tea for two for Christmas. What a lovely surprise present. Everything was delicious and I would thoroughly recommend buying this for family or friends as a treat. Thank you.

Tucked away, down a hall way and up some stairs (I guess hence the name) lies the most quaint cafe, with great food, a homely feel, and another one of Gatesheads untapped retreats. Come here if you like a coffee and great breakfast without being the bank.

a lovely quaint cafe. The owner can't do enough for you and treated us to the left over scones before we left. Delicious chips and salads and plenty of options, including children's choices. Thank you. We will be back.
