We love this place, the food is always delicious.. reserved but very disappointed when we found out the Brie was sold out, which was the whole reason we went in the first place. Not sure if we will be back for a while, as calling ahead to enquire about the brie would be a hassle. I hope in the future there is a better supply.

I have been here at the British restaurant several times but this family day long weekend was my first time staying there. It was amazing. The room was awesome, very clean and comfortable. My wife loved it and we will definitely come back again and request the same room. The bed was so spacious and comfy that we even let our baby to sleep in with us. We originally booked for one night (Saturday), but because we loved it so much, we ended staying an extra day/night until Monday. If you are looking for a place to stay in Gatineau or even Ottawa... this will be definitely a place to choose and stay. We can hardly wait for summer in order to come back
We loved our time at The British Hotel, Restaurant and Pub. Mind you our situation was kind of odd as we were the only guests in the entire hotel. Even so; the staff were incredible. The food was excellent and the room and building were very well kept and so filled with history. If you have the opportunity to stay here you will be glad you did.
Pretty good fish and chips. Sometimes difficult to find a server to help out
My daughter ate here yesterday and lost her wallet. Today we got it back with nothing missing. Thank you very much to the patron or staff member who returned it intact. It is very much appreciated - and she said the pizza was great with wonderful service. There are still good people in the world!
Wait staff wasnt the greatest, had to ask for everything ie: table full of water-needed to ask for a napkin to wipe table. Rum and coke tasted watered down. Limited menu but understandable due to covid19. Covid19 safe, tables are far apart, sanitizer available, people wearing masks when required.
Great food. Relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend the burgers and the wings. Only problem is that it's a bit pricey
The suites here are incredible. Large modern showers with a twist of authentic old styling. Check in was easy. Cafe and restaurant in the same building was convenient. Great spot for a small wedding.
