I have been here four times and it’s a beautiful place with great weather and greenery. Although there are many hiking spots, they can get very busy during the fall as people come to see the leaves change color. Parking begins to extend far down the sides of the roads.

Beautiful place and excellent hiking. Beautiful paths, great streams and also have nice bridges to cross. It is well maintained and clean. There wasn’t close parking but Gatlinburg was super packed. The water was clear and you can see all the way down.

Great place! I am sure there is lots to do here! We drove the loop at Cade Coves. Beautiful mountains! We saw a Buck, Turkey, Coyotes, lots of Fungus, and a Copperhead! We saw a Black Bear outside Cades Cove but still in the national forest. While we had stopped to look at a cabin, we run into a family that had came across a Copperhead but by the time they made it back down the trail it was gone. So we headed in the direction of the snake. They were in the middle of telling us to be careful when I shouted excitedly, “We found it!” We are herpers so we enjoy seeing reptiles and we try to educate people on how to admire them for a distance without hurting them or putting themselves in danger. I said all that to say, please remember you are in their home. Learn to keep your distance and admire from a far, that goes for all wildlife. I am saying all this because I heard her son playing with a stick going on about what he was going to do if he found the snake. I am sure his parents wouldn’t have let him go near it, but still we found the snake and tried to shoo him along. It’s illegal to kill a snake in it’s natural habitat. Took kids for Spring break, too early to see bears. Beautiful Rainbow falls for a long hike, be prepared.

Free national park. Lots of places to hike and see waterfalls. It was busy in the summer, and limited parking, so going early it key. Loved this park.
