Awful SIXT. Very disappointed with awful customer service and just rude. Also this not premium. I got a Peugeot :( I got an email to provide feed back. Trying to give ONE star. There web page for my value opinion does no even work. This shows you what they think of their customers (now ex-customers). UPDATE!! Its been 48 hours since I have made a compliant. NO ONE has contacted me. THEY JUST DONT CARE!!!!! Will keep you up to date with the poor service

Specific Thanks to Mr. Kavouris, Agent on Duty August 9, 2019. He was most helpful in sorting out our specific request for a Mini Cooper and getting us to it. To have shown up at the Mini Cooper events we were attending in a Skoda or the like would not have been cool. Background...Prior to our trip I had specific conversations and e-mails with Sixt about securing a standard shift Mini Cooper and was assured by Sixt representatives and management that this could be accomplished. Your having Minis was the major reason for selecting Sixt. Great, as we own 6 of them, both Classics and BMW versions, all standards. Not only were there no Minis at Gatwick North, it was explained the there are no standard shift Minis in the Sixt fleet. Curious. Anyway Mr. K worked it out and transported us to Gatwick South where there was a Mini Cooper Automatic sport shift version. This actually was beneficial for driving on the M25 "parking lot" in 2 hours of stop and go (mostly stop) as we headed North to Silverstone. And, I must admit the sport shift was OK on the back roads as well. Mr. K and his sense of humor is a fun guy and translated what could have been a large posterior pain into an enjoyable interaction. The car performed well with only minimal shift acceleration lag in full auto mode and the MPG was astounding at well over 40 mpg even in the way we drive, which is assertive but not abusive For perspective, we Track and Autocross Minis so we are used to certain performance response characteristics. So, most importantly...... We would certainly rent for Sixt again and especially if all the employees are a competent and courteous as Mr. Kavouris. Good Job Sixt

Booked car for a weeks holiday. Arrived at airport and waited 30 mins to be served which was fine as two bookings in front of me. Due to Covid I waited outside. Took 15 mins to process my booking even though I had updated most info on the website day before. Car was new however was much smaller than I had booked. I enquired before driving off and was told it was a higher class. I found later that the car had food under the front passenger seat so am doubtful how effective their Covid clean actually is. On returning the car I enquired again re the class and the same person told me it was a higher class. I looked up later when home on the Sixt website under ACRISS CODES and found I had been downgraded. I raised with HO and they gave me refund. Was not happy about incorrect info given by clerk on the downgrade and the cleanliness of vehicle.

Pick up was easy, no hassle and peofessional. Return a little off putting. The Sat nav(gps) programmed for return point shows drivers to underneath the South terminal!!!!! Not to the car park area. Bit of a time waste really. But, having said that the car and return key was a great experience. I left a sat nav under the seat on return but have had no notification from the branch so that is disappointing, my fault really but a call would have made me give 5 stars.

Arrived on a flight today, rental booked in advance. Lights are on but no one at the desk. No signs indicating a break. Called main number to be informed I’ll just have to wait. I’ve been standing here for half an hour now Sixt. You know when my flight arrives, no note of absence, no cover shift. Pathetic. Last time I shall be booking with you.

Really poor experience. No bad charges but terrible customer experience. Treated with absolutely no respect at the rental point (ignored at first, not shown to car, particularly unhelpful when they offered me a car I didn't want). I rent cars several times a year and this was my first (and definitely last) experience of Sixt. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND USE A BETTER KNOWN RENTAL CAR COMPANY.

Hired a Clio, which was nearly new. No booklet to explain the controls and staff member couldn’t leave the desk. The hire car parking has been moved from it’s previous convenient location into the multi-storey opposite. The pathways are uneven, it is a long walk up and down ramps and across the road with a wayward trolley loaded with heavy cases. The staff member was efficient and friendly at pickup and drop-off. The car was clean bearing in mind that it was raining. As a hire car it was good value for money and bearable for a week but I wouldn’t buy one because of the hard ride.

The cars are great good prices but the staff trying to bully you and frighten you into additional insurance put me right off. I carry my own insurance as I hire cars a lot but even after telling the staff that they continue to try and frighten you to take their cover which is quite expensive...also the damage waiver is unreasonable..much prefer enterprise which allows small unavoidable dents or scratches which are going to happen however careful you are rather than zero allowance but saying that I've never been billed and never had any damages..just puts you on edge with the high pressure upselling and thought slightest scratch going to cost. I was informed I was liable for one million pounds damage and also would have to pay full purchase cost of car if damaged.. unacceptable pressure
