Was happy to fly Calgary to Gatwick on 787 bus class. Food & drink was good. Outside of 2 meal services, FA’s were not to be seen. No offering of ice wine or port, although on the menu. Seats are very comfortable but quite confining in sleep mode. Will save and go Premium next flight.
I pre-booked my seats direct with WestJet via phone for both flights of my ski trip this year (for a total of 216CAD) as bulkhead/emergency exit row seats as I am quite tall and need the extra room for my legs. Neither seat 26D on my outbound flight or 26F (which I was assured by WestJet customer services via e-mail and the check in staff at Calgary was a emergency row/Bulkgead seat with extra leg room) on my return flight on the turned out to be emergency row/bulkhead seats. The flight attendant on my outbound flight said my full cost of seat upgrades (216CAD) would be refunded and my seat for the return trip would be changed to one on an emergency row/bulkhead so that I would have adequate leg room, but they were not. I've been in touch with WestJet and they are only offering me a refund of 72CAD which I don't think is satisfactory.
An utter disappointment. The staff was extremely rude and racially profiled me at the passport kiosk. Their refusal to help and an ignorant behavior was topped by their raciat comments. These people do not value their customers and ate extremely unprofessional. Highly not recommended!
Booked 9 tickets to Toronto and was told no meals are going to be booked a week before the flight.
