The museum is very small and provide little to share, definitely not giving this important place the justice it deserves. Still worth a visit. For some better and broader info on the importance of it and information about Free City of Gdańsk I would suggest the exhibition in Gdańsk Town Hall. There are plans to expand the current exhibition.

Really important monument of the polish resistance. Sixty men managed to resist a whole day against guns, artillery and even a fire against them. The top half of the building has been reconstructed after being destroyed by the Germans.

This was a pretty small museum about mail and stuff, quite pleasant. There was a pretty weird guy following us, I guess he was just making sure we don't touch anything. I think this is worth the 8PLN or however much it costed.

We came here with a tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the place. It is a very sad but triumphant story about how an unjust army cowardly tried to get people to surrender. But in the end people's lives and spirit lived forever. It is a must when in Gdansk.

Small, but good exhibition about the Polish minority during the wars and the attack on the post office. All info is in English, Polish and German. I used the Polish audio-guide (free), which is a great addition.

This is a tiny museum and only the first room is *really* interesting, but it's worth the price of admission just for that. It's quite a story.

Very interesting, but take hankies. So, so sad. Definitely have to visit if visiting Gdansk to pay respects to the workers and learn their story.

A site which has a lot of historical importance. The Defence of the Polish Post Office in Danzig(Gdańsk) was one of the first acts of World War II in Europe, as part of the Invasion of Poland. On September 1, 1939, Polish personnel defended the building for some 15 hours against assaults by the SS Heimwehr Danzig (SS Danzig Home Defense), local SA formations and special units of Danzig police having about 200 armed personnel. The lighter shade stones were restored on a later day as this place was burnt to ashes. The site also has a monument that shows a mortally wounded Postal Officer handing his rifle to Nike, the Undying Goddess of Victory. He is, as Poland was; bowed but never broken!
