Traditional style Texan barbecue is unique in itself because of it's elaborate and laborious way of preparing and cooking meat. In which, the result is absolute perfection! Gensan is one lucky place to have it's very own authentic Texan smokehouse run by no less a Texan native himself- Chef Michael. The moment you set foot in Smokin' Area, it already feels like you're transported into a Wild West tavern complete with the Lone Star State flag hanging on the wall. They also have a spacious backyard patio with a small garden exuding a very homey, romantic ambiance. It's a very unassuming place that would let you feel like you're just at home enjoying a barbecue night with friends. But the best takeaway from visiting Smokin' Area would surely be the food. Low and slow smoked meats prepared in a very Texan way. Must try? Everything! And no, I'm not kidding! Just imagine yourself devouring that fall-off-the-bone-melts-in-your-mouth meat of all goodness! Heaven!

Authentic Texan Food here in General Santos City I love the ambiance , texan theme of the place i feels like im in texas, the food is so good cooked in smoke, specially the Coleslaw this is my favorite, the owner and staff is very friendly and and the services is fantastic. 10/10 Stars for this.
I loved the place and the ambiance. Service is fast and the staff are friendly. The price is a bit expensive for me. I ordered One Meat (Beef) and it was okay for me. How I wish the meat is a little bit tasty and tender though.
Good food.
Great Tasting Food and Cool place to dine in Loved the Caged Ribs and Crunchy Veges !
Amazing host and delicious food with good friends on a rainy night
Don't let its nondescript frontage fool you. Inside is a restaurant with a delightful cowboy-western themed setting and an al fresco area at the back. Everything that Chef Michael, a native Texan serves, is slow grilled to perfection, soft and tender to the bones. They just recently added baked baby back ribs and this too, doesn't disappoint. For groups, get the Texan Platter or the humungous beef ribs slabs. For those with smaller appetites, try their smoked pulled pork or beef sandwich and smoked pita wrap! The potato salad is exceptional. Awesome! #LetsGuide #Steaks #Ribs Accessibility Review: Except for the toilets which are way down at the back and are in need of a ramp, everything is PWD-accessible.
