Genesis is a great program that has taught me so much. Since i have been at Genesis i've had the opportunity to accomplish so much. I built the foundation for my recovery thanks to Genesis and it structured program. I opportunity to raise my 8 month old today. I would recommend Genesis to anyone trying to get there life back. Its really a great program that pushes you to become self sufficient, responsible, and reach your goals. I reunited with my children. An addict like me reaching 2 years and 7 months almost seemed impossible. The Director of Genesis really cares for the people who are really trying to get there life back on track and those who seem to be struggling.

Genesis is a blessing to me and my family. I came to Genesis after my release from prison and was immediately embraced within a safe and nurturing environment where I had an honest opportunity to rebuild my life. Genesis allowed me to get employment within my first week within the home and maintain communication with my family. Sherry Landor has truly constructed a home that you can both enjoy your personal responsibility combined with the structure of accountability. If anyone is looking for an opportunity to rebuild your life at whatever pace that is comfortable to you, I highly recommend Genisis to any mature person seeking a platform to get their life on track. I truly thank God for bringing me to this home and the blessings I’ve received have been immediate and comforting to myself and everyone in my life concerned about my wellbeing.
It’s important to understand that not all sober living safe created equal. Genesis is clean and drug/alcohol free. You can get clean if you want too. However it is a place for a certain type of addict. Genesis is for those who are homeless and come from jail/prison. And it’s great to help them get their lives together. But others do not fit in and quiet frankly, are not welcome. People in the house do not follow the contract to problem solve. Most people still live with many classic addict tendencies including the staff and director. Be careful with the program you chose. It is very sad that genesis is unable to take responsibility for their inaccuracies. The character defects of the manager should not lead to any problems with the clients. Much worse the manager went to other treatment centers and complained about me. The issue being that I was singing in the house and she found it off putting. The contract mandated that she address her issue with me and she failed to do so. I was the only person in the house who followed the contract, in fact. The true issue was that I was the only person in the house including the director who was college educated. It is not my fault that people were insecure when communicating with an educated individual. And it’s truly sad that a sober living would claim it was due to my depression. Especially because they were informed of my diagnosis before they chose to House me and take my rent, then chose to keep my rent after exiting me. I realize there are people capable of getting sober through this program. However it is truly unprofessional. I was thrown out for disrespecting a house manager?? She was actively using drugs during the majority of her stay. She was high the night she misrepresented me in order to get me expelled. Honest is the basis of our steps. And it’s important for recovery and the only reason I’ve been successful now. Truly sad when a business doesn’t admit their errors despite claiming to be program based living.
This sober living goes above and beyond for residents. The homes are clean, drug and alcohol free and well run. They offer in house classes and meetings. A great place to rebuild your life and create a stable foundation. Forever grateful ️
Graduated today from this fine place. It has saved my life and I hope everyone who is looking to change their life, and be a better person can too.
