Stadhuis (Ghent City Hall) is one of the historically important buildings located in the city centre of Ghent. Much of the 51 room building dates back several centuries, providing opportunity to see several prominent architectural styles from the past. Unfortunately, we learned that you can only visit the inside of Stadhuis with a guide. There is information related to how to arrange a guided visit on the Visit Ghent website page for the Ghent City Hall. Regardless, the exterior is attractive and enjoyable to see as well. You can walk around the building and see impressive Neo-gothic features as well as sections that resemble Italian Renaissance in style. Note: The Visit Ghent website page for the Ghent City Hall includes a virtual 360 degree tour of the inside of the building. This at least allows you to view the inside of the building online if curious.
It has definitely improved over the years. They should really consider starting online booking system for the immigration office. Also, they should also start an SMS system to notify that in how much time your turn will come. Now most of the staff is friendly.
Historical site for the freedom of religion.
Discriminatory xenophobic and disrespectful institution in a country that has zero tolerance for immigrants
