Global Supplier Verification (GSV) started by providing a secure common platform for customers and suppliers, helping the supply chain to FSMA compliance through a web based certificate management tool. This was one of the first to market solutions in 2010 and was a free tool for the industry. With a multitude of other solutions coming into place GSV decided to shutter the web based platform and since June 2017 GSV began to offer a consultancy service on a short or long term basis to assist in risk assessing supply chains, ensuring safety, regulatory and quality requirements are compliant with suppliers and auditing supplier facilities.
