It is a deep and in places old forest, bird, animal, water ecosystem in the city with myriad walking trails.

Long, has different types of paths, ots of elevation changes but also has sections great for families with kids etc.. The info screens/ speakers are all busted which keeps this from getting more stars.
McDonald's coffee is better than Tim Hortons and their English muffin with sausage is also better and I think slightly larger.. no point in reviewing much else if you've never been to McDonald's before then you should try it.
It was a fairly nice trail, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who a) wants to walk somewhere really private/closed up and b) someone who wants to have a lot of trail to explore. I found the actual trail satisfactory but it was very open, with backs of houses lined up on the border of most parts of the trail. This gave me the feeling that I wasn't really completely in nature, with house porches to my right. In addition, it wasn't a very long trail, as it took us approximately 20 minutes to explore it all.
Too much of a neighbourhood feel. Wanted a real hiking trail not a water overflow tour
Nice subdivision trail. Not for secluded or remote walks. Has some interesting plaques for the historical geography of the area. Good for walking and biking. Okay for strollers if the wheels aren't too small.
A public trail in the West end of Waterloo. Several signs describe geological events over the eons. The trail is about 4 km long. Unfortunately it could use better trail markings because there are many side trails. It's hard to really get lost though because there's housing development all around. Those who want to hike a longer distance can do so by continuing North and west of the main loop. Some of this is a bit hilly but we'll worth the effort.
I was looking for a nice trail to walk on and found this on Google maps. When I got there I realized it was located in a cookie-cutter house community, right beside an awful-smelling storm water/sewage pond. It was not the best trail I've been on, houses all around you, and pretty much the whole walk I could smell that "pond" (I'd describe it more as a large toilet bowl). Just a very bizarre place.
