We built our home with Gerber last fall and I cannot say enough about what a great experience it was! We built with another company for our last home and it was like night and day! From our fantastic salesman Doug to Joe the site supervisor and Danille in the office we never went more than an hour with a response to an email or text. Our home was finished in record time with excellent craftsmanship. They were transparent with everything from pricing to obstacles along the way with site development- how many builders are that open and honest?! You do not have to shop around for your new home...just go with Gerber and save time, money and frustrations! We could not be happier with our new home and they are the only one we would consider in the future.

Gerber Built our new custom house, Excavation, Foundation, framing, Roofing was done very well, a nice tight house (rating 5 stars). Their finish work, paint, stain work and electrical work were at a quality rating of (3.5 stars). Areas of work done after 1 yr. needed repair. Their most likely best with their own models. They gave us a one year warranty, ask for more. Overall we are very pleased with our house and have fixed most of the things that we were not happy with, issues remain with a pocket door that continually falls out of the track, an egress window still covered with mud from the original installation. The project oversite was slow to respond to issues. I would suggest asking for a 24 hour max. response time. Overall I'll give Gerber 4 Stars. Oh , price was not part of my review. We built a custom home, not a model home, so my review most likely only applies to our custom home.
Gerber built my husband’s home, our first house together, back in 2000. When we decided to build again in 2018 it was Gerber who we turned to. Doug, John, Danille, Mike V, Wade, Jason and all others we have had contact with have been a pleasure to work with. We have since had our basement finished by Gerber and we our currently seeking there business to build our deck. Any issue we have had they’ve done their best to make it right. Any future builds or projects we may have will most likely be with Gerber. Thanks for all you do. The Wagner’s
We can’t say enough about how pleased we are with Gerber Homes! They made building our dream home a breeze. Before we found Gerber, we almost signed a contract with another area builder, and the difference between the two was night and day! The first builder clearly just wanted our business, never quite gave a straight answer about final costs, and balked at some of our questions about sustainable building practices. Gerber, on the other hand, earned our trust right away with their openness and responsiveness. Everyone on the Gerber team did everything they could to make sure our home was exactly what we wanted. Julie was so patient and accessible when working with us on designing our dream home, and her price estimates/projections were spot-on. Danille always responded within hours with answers to our questions (no matter the topic), even on weekends! And when we made some unusual requests to make our home as sustainable as possible (for example, installing a heat pump instead of a traditional gas furnace), John didn’t bat an eye and made it happen. The whole team worked diligently to get us moved into our new home before everything shut down due to the pandemic, which was so appreciated. We also took advantage of living in Gerber’s apartments while our home was being built – our apartment was clean and spacious, and it was such a relief not to have to have to pay an exorbitant amount for a sublet or short-term rental.
We've owned two Gerber houses now and both have been incredible. The care, craftsmanship and attention to detail really separate Gerber from their competitors. Our first house was a 10 year old Gerber build when we bought it and in the 10 years we owned it we never had a single issue. The original furnace and hot water heater were still running just fine when we sold the house which really shows the quality of vendors and materials they use. There were no issues with the windows, structure or block basement. I had New York State SERTA come to do an energy assessment and they were blown away by the quality of insulation and windows. So when we needed a little more space Gerber was the natural choice. Through the quoting process they were amazing. They came in with competitive prices, we were able to see the models we wanted, their floor plans were modern and up to date and you could tell that great care had been taken in designing the floor plans. All the things we wanted (big windows, open floor plans, functional flow, second floor laundry etc...) were all built right into their standard product offering. The Sales and Selections process was incredible, John and Leanne guided us through positioning the house, suggested things we needed and worked with us on pricing. Once construction started Danile and Mile were incredible to work with. Mike our project manager immediately gave us his cell phone number and took constant calls from us at all hours of the day through the build. He helped make last minute adjustments, changes and adds. When we saw something we wanted to change he was able to make it happen. The team were incredibly responsive, flexible and patient and I cannot imagine any company being as fluid and accommodating. In the end we were left with an incredible house which far surpassed our expectations. I cannot recommend Gerber enough.
