Our home arrived with multiple things wrong. The original plan was not followed correctly. We were missing an open transom. The majority of the ship loose items were the wrong quantities. We did not receive our screen doors. Our heaters were not connected properly, the grout in our shower was coming off like chalk. It was very clear that they rushed through the construction. A great example of this is the fact that they forgot to install the vent pipe from the range hood exiting the home. I have now been attempting to get my screen doors from family built homes for close to a year now. They do not dispute the fact that they need to send me the proper screen doors. Yet they can’t seem to get their act together in order to figure out what doors to send and actually send them.

Out of all the builders we’ve contacted, Family Built Homes was the only one so far to really give us the time of day and respond in a timely fashion as we’ve been looking around for a home. Tuck was great in answering our questions and walking us around the shop and showing us some models, his customer service has definitely set the bar.
