Absolutely the BEST butchers in the area. The selection and quality of meats and cuts is unparalleled. Nowhere else will you find all cuts of beef (chuck, t-bone, blade, fillet), lamb, pork. Not only does Alan have difficult to find game meat like pheasant, duck and venison but he also a freezer loaded with burgers and sausages made from EXOTIC meats like elk, ostrich and zebra. I can't understate how much of a gem Alan's shop is

Lovely local butchers. Started going here during lockdown 1.0. Alan is very welcoming and knowledgeable and will always advise on cuts and the meats and happy to cut how you like with an amount you like. Even great for pork scratchings, eggs and cheese. The 3 packs of bbq meats for 10 are superb. Everything I’ve had is on a different league compared to supermarkets. Shop local you won’t regret it.

I have struggled to find a butcher for 5 years living in the area. I am a South African and make my own biltong and boerewors. This is the best butcher I have ever found. They have everything you need from a butcher to make your own sausage. Guys are knowledgeable, very friendly, willing to help and great prices! The quality of meat it outstanding and I will never buy meat anywhere else. They are so good I had to write this review as I never normally write reviews for anything. Very very happy customer!

I used to buy organic meat for coomberfarm for over 4 months and paying 110 every week for 3-4kg of meat and salmon thinking that I was buying the best quality meat possible. They were coming packaged in ice and on the label you could see that they were at least 1 month old frozen sometimes more. I am glad I have found Bruce Butchers because not only the meat is totally fresh and cut in front of you, but the quality is the best I have found in England so far since I moved from Greece years ago and the price totally efforadable, less than half compared to buying organic online. The salmon, kangaroo burgers and beef steak fillet are the best I have tried in my life. I have never tasted such a soft steak before, with no tendons and ligaments, cooked perfectly in 4 minutes on the pan. I highly reccommend Bruce Butchers to anyone, not only for the product but for the friendliness of the people working in it, who go can give you advice on how to cook every diffent meat perfectly!
