A lovely place for a walk, with some local history thrown in! You can walk through the old moat, as well as see where they had the old search lights during WW2 and cannons in the 19th century! There are plaques dotted around with historical information on them.

Quite a bit to see. Very overgrown in places and paths/routes not well marked out. Most of the information signs are damaged and unreadable.

Nice area when we'll maintained with some Field space that's great for a picnic and great for riding bikes or walking or even walking a dog and has some war time fortifications around the park.

Nice park, good opportunity to get up close and personal with some old war fortifications.

A great little meander around some important history. This park emerged from wasteland during the development of MidKent College's campus which it borders. The park exposes the Lower Lines, a fortification constructed during the early 1800's, ahead of the Napoleonic Wars. They served to protect the Dockyard from an anticipated land invasion. The park is accessible from Medway Road, or the University campus.
