Late-night food
Ordered the food and awaited delivery with high expectation. We usually collect but the weather was nasty so this was a new experience. Food delivered within the expected time by a friendly delivery driver (all masked up as per norm these days) The food was hot and exactly what we were expecting. It was delicious and much appreciated after a busy day at work. Whilst the menu is more limited now than before I think that’s an advantage as it means they concentrate more to make the food yummy. Was a bit worried as the Raj rani is under new ownership but we needn’t have worried as all parts of the service was great from speaking to the lovely lady on the phone right through to the food. Will definitely be using the Raj Rani again

Simply delightful...! The new management have got it spot on ! I’ve just grabbed a take away on my way home from work.... I was greeted by two friendly and happy to help girls, who took my order promptly and before I knew it my food was ready. Fresh, piping hot and very very tasty. I went for a chicken tikka dansak and it was perfect... lovely sauce with beautiful lentils and nice big succulent pieces of chicken. My plate was soon empty. I highly recommend this place. You just need to experience it for yourself now !
We had a very disappointing takeaway from you last night. We were told it would be 45 - 60 minutes delivery time which was fine. After an hour and 15 minutes we called to be told it was out for delivery. It arrived a further 15 minutes later making it 90 minutes from ordering. We were asked if we'd got an old or new menu when we ordered. We presumed old and was told that if we'd had a new one we'd have got a discount! Under new management apparently. It was cold on arrival and when we took the lids off we could see that everything was very greasy. The tarka dall was literally swimming in oil. If we hadn't have known it was under new management, we would have guessed that something had changed as the food wasn't up to the usual standard at all. So, late, cold, very greasy, nowhere near as tasty as before, oh, and we had a rice missing. 35 not well spent and we won't be repeating our mistake. Very disappointed as been loyal customers of Raj Rani for years and years.
Order on 20th November 2020!! Absolutely awful.. Firstly when delivered, delivery guy was not wearing any mask and no social distancing. When checked order they sent wrong food, called place they sent out new food which was delivered within 10mins. Then half way through eating I started vomiting which I near had before .. Then my husband had issues both ends half way through the night.. Totally bad experience never will go there again!! I give it no stars.. You can't even post unless you put a star in says it all.
