Outside attractions on parkland in Station St Girgarre include the cenotaph(opposite the RSL Building) and a short 100 metre walk to a commemorative wall dedicated to the "Closer and WW1 Soldier Settlers of Girgarre and Stanhope North". In the grounds of the RSL building and viewed from the street is a huge wall mural and gun emplacement. Memorabilia for viewing if RSL building is open. Just around the corner is the Girgarre Memorial Hall constructed following WW1 (frequently open) with features recognising battlefronts of WW1 and the contribution of service personnel from the Girgarre District which includes framed photos, replica medals and service details. Caravans and Motorhomes can access free camping in the grounds next to the Memorial Hall. (Alternative camping 2nd Sunday in month when Girgarre market being held). Anzac Day (5.50am) service and Remembrance Day (11am) followed by complimentary sausage sizzle and drinks held annually. Anzac Day Golf and Bowls Tournament held at Valley View Golf Bowls Club Curr Rd Kyabram with proceeds to Girgarre RSL. There are no lunch facilities available in Girgarre, however Stanhope is only 6km away and has eateries. Some provisions can be obtained from the Girgarre Post Office.
