We love walking the dogs here, beautiful views on a clear day and the benches on the promenade are great to have some piping hot chips after a chilly walk or to just sit & enjoy the views on a mild day. The playground (and short distance to ice cream!) means there's lots for the little ones too. If you're dressed for the weather you can enjoy it any day of the year but be prepared for the wind off the water, it can be freezing & fierce. Parking is easy, the bus stop is close by and the beach is accessible by ramp as well as steps.

Perhaps one of the best place in Scotland to watch the sunset on Atlantic Ocean. There is a large car park can accommodate dozens of cars. Beside the car park, there is a public toilet. You can either stay in the car to watch the sunset or have walk along the beach and lawn. It is also suitable for kids as well. After the sunset, you can to back have a rest in B&B in the town and have some local food. Very fantastic !
Girvan Beach is definitely one of the better beaches along the Ayrshire Coast. The beach is sandy, also very flat, so tends to be clumpy unless there's been a few days of dry and sunny weather, the sand . There's a promenade behind the beach, with a children's playground between the beach and shops.
Clean, nice place, with pond and children's playground. Long sand beach, great for long walk! Nice view for Arran island.
Well worth a visit, nice walk along the sea front with places to pick up a drink or sit and watch the world go by. Very clean and well kept with a few shops a short walk away.
