I read a hand full of negative reviews about this place, primarily the person at the front desk being very rude. With limited options for this type of supply store in Turlock, I decided to go anyway. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Alex and asked "How can I help you?". Within seconds I knew this was NOT the same person being reviewed in other posts. Alex was very helpful and knowledgeable; personally getting everything on my list. They have a vast supply of products; everything I needed but Alex is why this place was 5 stars for me. Next time I go, I'll probably call ahead to make sure he is working that day.

Hello to everyone in these comments that has had a unpleasant visit to G&L, first off let me start by saying my name is Alex and I was sent over from the Tracy location to help get the store running like it should on a day to day basis. I am also very sorry to anyone and everyone that has came in and had to deal with poor customer service, no one should have to deal with that period, I’ve been covering for the other G&L locations and that has had me away from Turlock lately. Going forward, my schedule at G&L is Tuesday’s - Friday’s 8:00AM - 5:00PM and Saturday’s 8:00AM - 4:00PM with Sunday’s and Monday’s off, there is going to be times where I have to cover for the other G&L locations which will have me out of the Turlock location. I’m trying my best to get G&L Turlock running how it should and I’m not trying to make any excuses what so ever but please give me some time and things will get better. If you have any question feel free to call the store and ask for Alex and if I’m not available at that moment I will be sure to call you back. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I’m honestly trying to get G&L running how it should.

Sewer pipe broke (long story :/ ). Had been looking for a 4” pvc pipe at most major retailers, no avail. Went in to G&L and Alex was very helpful. He had what I was looking for. However, he had a smaller length piece of pvc pipe that would take care of the work I needed to do and ......gave it to me, free, gratis, zilch. Based on the negative reviews, I too was hesitant to go here. But when you need to fix stuff, who cares. I don’t know who was working here before, though glad Alex was there.

Pricing is to high on most irrigation parts. I also needed dirt. And the loader was broken down. The older gentleman who works there is not a friendly store front person. And seemed to get very up set when I asked where certain sprinkler nozzles were. I gladly will take my business else where from now on.

Prices are great but I’ve learned that I prefer to pay twice as much and be ignored at Lowe’s than be subjected to a rude, non caring, miserable male employee at G & L in Turlock. This guy is a work of art!!!!!!
