I sent my Daughter here on May 8th and today they released her. Some how she managed to get away and find alcohol under supposedly supervision. In the last couple weeks I noticed that she would call crying often saying they treated their clients like they were just there to be babysat. No regular therapy, she managed to go walk and find cigarettes and the open door policy means these kids can just walk out anytime although they are already high risk youth. I thought she was going to a safe place but I was wrong. 2 other females managed to escape as well and my even still be at large. Parents already feel desperate and helpless when they choose to send their child away to receive help for addictions. It seemed like a good fit for my daughter being a First Nations facility. She didn’t even make it passed the stability period which is one month before they just sent her home. You would think that being an experienced team that they’d work with the parents and the child to help her remain in the program and push harder but nope. They left me no choice to get her and I live 10 hours away. This place needs to work on consistency and do their actual job. I do not recommend this place to parents who are seeking help for their kids. They don’t seem to know how to control high risk kids and therapy was minimal if at all. I am sad that my daughter went to this place and I made a big mistake in believing in this program which is supposed to be 16 weeks.
