Glendale helped me take care of saying goodbye to my mom Elaine in an overall professional and very beautiful way 5 years ago. Unfortunately, the first few encounters with 2 people there, helping me sort out mom's stone itself and the payments were not exactly professional. Firstly, I felt like I was being 'sold' and frankly taken advantage of during the most difficult time, as we were not told there were more affordable options for my younger brother (working part-time and in college at the time) and I to look at. As we made regular payments, our file was 'transferred to another person without any notification and info was \lost\ somewhere in that process. We were unaware until one day I decided to call for an account update. The second person to take over our file ended up leaving the company, again, and our file was transferred again, unbeknownst to us. This time however, we got lucky, blessed, whatever you want to call it. Our file landed in the hands of Kim Ruggiero. Kim's attention to detail and willingness to listen to my ideas was the first thing I noticed. Her professional and nurturing manner also made me feel heard (for the first time during this entire process). She has a natural ability to connect with the person sitting in front of her and provided useful information according to my needs. She gave me a tailored-experience which is all consumers really want right? Glendale is SO lucky to have her and I won't hesitate to refer people to her specifically. People deserves excellent service, especially while coping with the loss of a loved one.

The place itself is nice. The grounds are vast and decor is mediocre. The decor does not set any ambience to suit its purpose as a funeral home. Half of the staff there were courteous the rest were inconsiderate and “why bother me” attitude. Especially in the office section. Its not a place i would chose for a loved ones final resting place.
In a time of severe grief and loss, I want to commend Glendale Funeral Home and Cemetery and their staff for the incredible work and service, while we prepared the final arrangements during the recent loss of my sister. My sister looked so beautiful resting in her casket; it was difficult to accept this she is no longer with us. Special thanks to Michelle Richards, who was supportive throughout the entire process; from her death, until long after her internment. Michelle was there for us and with us, demonstrating her expertise, patience, love and moral support. I will not hesitate to recommend Glendale Funeral Home and Michelle Richards to anyone needing these services.

I had a informative conversation with Kim Ruggiero on February 13/2021 about my funeral arrangements. I took what she said very serious and with all the information I now have I can make a informative decision as to which way I want my funeral too be. She was so helpful to me.
