A friend of mine has been employed by Global Hospitality Solutions and the venues appear to be the ones who because of potential instructions from Global only pay the cleaners by the room and do not pay any overtime. Start you shift at 9am and due to finish at 1pm but end up finishing at 3pm or later but only getting paid for 4 hours. During one of his training days he worked till 3pm but they only wrote 9am-11.30am on his timesheet so he was under paid 3.5 hours. It does appear the Global condone this sort of paying their staff. I would strongly advise against working for Global Hospitality Solutions. Perhaps the union should get involved.

My daughter worked 6 hours or more a day and get paid for 3-4 hours. She started at 8.30am and finished between 3 to 5 pm. At first I thought it was because she was new and slow, but I found out later, even a more experienced cleaner never finished the job within 3-4 hours, and still being paid for 3-4 hours. People are resigning (who will not) and those who left do overloaded work but still being paid the same, 21 per hour for max 3 to 4 hours pay. There is no recorded log in and log out system, so the management can manipulate the hours in pay slip. The pay slip shows how many hours she work within the 2 weeks period. It's totally wrong, because in reality she mostly works double those hours.

The Meriton gym in Waterloo managed by this company has very obvious epidemic prevention risk, they check aoa/I’d of some visitors, but don’t check Meriton hotel guests, which is obviously not right, everyone should be treated the same, otherwise it will be potential risk, after I communicate with site manager, he didn’t want to improve anything but keep finding excuse, as a visitor I think I have the responsibility to say it out if I find anything risky, but if you don’t listen I can’t do anything. If anything bad happened, all the customers will have to take the risk, for which nobody want to see. And the receptionist without glasses was rude to me when the first come to that gym, he didn’t want to explain anything for the new comer and I asked how to use the facilities, he just ignored all my questions.His attitude is different to people from different countries which is not good, Meriton is home to us, so should it’s gym. By the way, the other receptionist with glasses is very nice, the three stars are to him, thank you for all the kindness and warm greeting you gave us.

They under pay you they expect you to work for 7 hours for 4 hours pay they show no respect to there workers all the workers are miserable they take advantage of students on visas make them work for 5 hours for 3 hours pay soo they get more use out of them don't work for this company Iv now reported to fair work and trading for illegally paying there staff !!!! Not to mention the dangerous work conditions they make you work in broken vaccume cords ..

Terrible communication. Lack of support from head office. Constant wage payment issues. Terrible work conditions. Most employees are miserable. Not paid hourly paid per job and the time allowance per job is so far off that you end up doing about an average of 5 hours over your time allowance per week which you do not get paid for. Constant waiting around for jobs to be released which you also do not get paid for. Have to do alot of jobs that do not fit your job description which you also do not get paid for. The equipment we use is often in an unsafe condition, broken mops, broken vacuums. Site managers and supervisors are amazing and very helpful and understanding. Head office are a bunch of slave driving ignoranaces. Would not recomend working for them not by a long shot. Never had so many issues with any place of employment like ive had with them.
