I looked at a couple of rooms with this agency. They did not show me the rooms in the photos from the listing and told me they had sent the wrong photos only when I arrived. They also told me the rent was much higher than advertised. The tenants of the rooms I was shown were not notified their rooms were being visited which was very uncomfortable. The agent who was showing the rooms was very confused, didn't have a clue which rooms he was supposed to be showing, and had a ton of trouble with the keys. I can only imagine what it's like to actually rent with them.

Pros: Treated me nicely throughout tenancy Generally left me alone, which is good. Agreed to rent reduction during Covid (note: see cons) Cons: Dont protect your deposit in a registered scheme (TDS, DPS, etc) Took many many phone calls and emails to get my deposit returned and the whole process took 5 weeks. Agreed to rent reduction during Covid, then tried to extort me for 'unpaid rent' months later. Edit: Have subsequently found out they did not return my housemates deposits either. Would recommend avoiding this agency.
DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENCY AND AVOID AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. They do not protect deposits what is against the law and they will never ever give you deposit back even if you followed the contract, gave a notice and left your room clean. This agency have many issues and many complaints, I bet they gonna bankrupt very soon
BED BUGS, STOLE 1400, MANAGER JOE BECAME VERY AGGRESSIVE AND THREATENING. He will tell you these are all agents who post reviews to tear them down but these are all true reviews. I've spent 2 weeks now trying to get my deposit back and I've seen nearly a dozen people come in demanding the same. Some saying it's been over 2 months which is illegal per the contract they sign too. I've brought several contract breaches to light with Joe and company and all they did was push it away and refuse to look at it. When I did this Joe then became very hostile and aggressive to the point I had no idea what he was going to do. His son in office and other employees had to physically remove him from cornering me from leaving the office. Sabina in the office acted in the same manner. When met with logic and reason they both act out as a child would by getting loud and physical approaching you staring down on you as you are sitting their calmly. On day one I woke up with over 100 bug bites with videos and pictures of it all. There was no way I could bring this infestation in over night but they insisted it had to be me. They said if I paid for cleaning, dry cleaning and hotel stays (a full weeks worth) they would reimburse me... I'm still waiting for the reimbursement. I've now been working with my lawyer to not only get my original refund back but to sue them for further damages this has caused to my personal life and business. They have blocked my numbers and haven't responded to emails in weeks. This isn't a one time issue this is happening to everyone they work with. If you don't think so then please find me and I will tell you how much deeper this goes because this only skims the surface. Do not work with them. Ask the agent on spareroom or any rooms site you find if they do business through GLOBE RESIDENTIAL. If so then run.
The worst experience I've ever had. Very rude. The team very unprofessional...from the manager till the agents. From day one till the last day of my tenancy was a nightmare. They entered in my room without letting me know. I was at work but my flatmate saw the agent and informed me. I asked them if they entered the room and why and they said that they was searching for the router.. imagine.. I was trying one month to get my deposit back. The property that I was staying was very dirty and not at all well maintained. Mold in the bathroom.. spiders at the window of the kitchen.. And during my tenancy they were always sending emails saying that if we don't keep in a good condition the house they will keep a part from the deposit. Maybe they have never seen the house... They should go and take a look. Another thing that I saw now is that some of the 5 star reviews that they have are from their own staff... these people were replying the emails....
