I had a negative experience with this business when they did some work at my home. I found the business owner to be confrontational and at times aggressive making dealing with him very stressful. This was also the view of my neighbour who had unpleasant encounters with the business owner and used the words \unreasonable\ and \unwilling to be conciliatory\ in his description of the encounters. I have known this neighbour for nearly ten years and have found him to be a straightforward, calm and reasonable person throughout that time. The owner of Alpha Oak failed to verify important measurements meaning that elements of the project had to be re-worked leading to a less satisfactory outcome overall. The underlying quality of the work was good, but the interactions with the customer are important. Don't be surprised if the business owner makes negative comments about me in response to this review. He has also tried to silence me with threats of legal action even though I am merely stating the facts here. Post Script: As predicted, the business owner has written an aggressive response. What you will want to ask yourself is whether you want this kind of aggro in your life? You might conclude that it's all my fault, you might conclude it's his fault. That's understandable. But ask yourself, do you need the hassle?
