All in all it is not what it used to be but Aladins..... whatever you need, they have it ! If they don't, then they will get it. Only 1 butcher now, used to be loads. The sweet kiosk offered a large range of retro sweets. Handbags of every size and colour and the jewlers/watch repairs will never let you down. The cafe is what it says it is, affordable and friendly. The rest.... mehh, dodgy phone accessories stall, bits and bobs stall and of course the record stall.

The market cafe An amazing little cafe specialising in breakfast and other British quisine. I went for a big breakfast and for 5.95 it couldn't be faulted for 2 eggs, 2 Bacon, 2 sausages, 2 tomatoes, 2 slices of fried bread and two lovely slices of black pudding. The staff are all really friendly and will instruct you to sign in to there covid system and will then take your order. I requested mustard as well and they were more than happy to provide. I'll be honest. I wasn't expecting to get this much for the price but they really hit the nail on the head. Great food, Great price, Great quality, I'm sure you could say that's the market cafe's promise!
I love this market, I remember visiting the sweet shop when I was younger and its still amazing now. A.P meats is very good value for money. There is a store called Aladdin's Cave, they literally sell everything (obviously not everything) but its a great place. I also bought a watch from one store here some years ago and its still going strong. They will also provide a battery changing service too. I have heard the fish market is very good but you have to get there early in the morning or they will sell out- all produce is fresh and the crabs are live.

The indoor market cafe has a great menu and all the food is cooked to perfection. Keep very very clean too
AP Meats in the Eastgate indoor market is amazing. Highly recommend any meat lover to go there. Great prices and the taste is unbelievable! The staff at AP Meats are always friendly and welcoming! Another stall I love to visit is the sweet lady and she sells Pink Shrimps (The best sweets ever!)
Great market. My favourite stall is the spices/seasonings stall with the lovely family who run it, friendly, sweet and overall lovely experience every time.
Great stalls, very friendly and good selection of quality items. Greengrocer was missing today though?
