I had preordered a battery online and then called to make sure it was ready for collection, which it was. I then had another phone call to confirm this. However upon arrival my wife was left outside for 30mins in -1 degrees and still not inside the door where three other customers were waiting. While standing outside my wife witness two store colleagues smoking outside, on what the counter assistant called a “phag break”. How is this acceptable for a preordered item, which on this occasion would have taken HOUR before being served to collect. Half of which was waiting outside. After speaking to the manager he said he wasn’t willing to get his staff members to go outside in the cold to stream line the process during busy periods, but however couldn’t care less that the customers where outside in freezing temperatures. I have been to this same store once before. This time it was quiet and still took 20mins to collect a pre ordered item. I do understand they have restrictions during the pandemic, but a bit of creative thinking, organisation and willingness to shrink the waiting times would have been considered. Even if it was as simple as to ask the customers who had per-ordered and who hadn’t. Surely this way you could push through the customers who had preordered and prepare the items the other customers who hadn’t while they are waiting. All of which could be done at social distance and reduce everyone’s exposure. But I suppose this would have to show a little willingness and to brave the cold for a few minutes.

Worth checking out. The website is user friendly, you just reserve online and pay at the store. Once your purchase is ready they'll call and text you that it can be picked up which I thought was helpful.

Availability of parts and phone interaction excellent. However only 1 person running and processing the shopfloor business. This was also the only visible member of the team moving with any sense of urgency. The result was a very long wait. Once I was at the head of the queue the service was excellent. All in all I am left hoping I will not need to go again.I suspect that they are struggling with the covid restrictions.
