Always a risk taking your pride and joy to someone you've not used before but I had no need to worry. My Defender could not have been in safer hands. Very professional, fantastic knowledge and good value. The car had been well looked after and was running well before Russ and his team undertook a routine service. Whatever they did has made a really noticeable improvement. Very happy.

Worst car buyer experience I've ever had. Purchased a 2012 Evoque Prestige LUX after many Freelanders I thought I'd buy a top of the range Evoque. Agreed to buy the car and agreed on a couple of jobs which needed to be done, an oil leak on the sump, a couple of dents in the door and the alloys were tatty. I agreed to pay half of the price to have the alloys redone (125). I specifically asked for the colour of the car alloys and absolutely no Black. The dealer promised an inspection report once it was on the ramps. I did not receive that. They found the leak was a main gearbox seal and was dutifully repaired, although the smell of gearbox oil has never left the car. I had a phone call to say the car was nearly ready to pick up after 2 weeks but they had to change the windscreen because they cracked it after refitting some trim. Finally picked the car up, firstly the alloys came back very dark Grey, not the colour I asked for. Overlooked it as I was just happy to finally get the car. Got it home, would not lock so took the car back down the following day after a 70 minute drive. They had the car another week while they sorted the locks out, got the car back again only to have the ABS slam the brakes on luckily on a slip road. Had the car recovered this time, back to GL it went for another week. Picked it up. Got it home and been ok for a month but yesterday same issue, luckily on a local run. Paint has reacted on the bumper repair and is now already starting to craze, I did a deal to swap the alloys on a forum to standard ones but when the swap came the guy backed out because he said the alloys were sprayed poorly. Taking the car to my local LR specialist to repair the sensor issue then selling this lemon of a car. GL also owe me a pair of LR headphones which were adverted as being with the car, these are apparently on their way.

I had to leave a review for Russel and the guys for the service they gave me on my land rover Discovery 4,my discovery has been into 2 local main dealers more times than i can remember or least afford,every time in comes out with a few weeks at best days the suspension fault re appeared along with other faults.I was recommend these guys and used they instantly found the problems and some more under lying problems to which they sorted and advised me to do a engine clean and flush,i picked up my car and before i even reached Gloucester i couldn't believe how the car responded it feels like a new car the power everything different,this was four weeks ago and since left there garage not one warning light has came on i cant thank you enough Russel and the guys

I came across Russ when trying to source a late Defender TD5 or early TDCI. Russ guided me through the process of what to look out for, giving me advice on what to check on any potential vehicle. I felt much more confident making a purchase after speaking to Russ. I found Russ to be knowledgable, accommodating and personable and therefore did not hesitate to take my Defender to him when I had completed the purchase. I have only praise for russ and the staff at gloucester landrover , twice they have worked on my discovery 4 and both times their service has been great and at half the cost of a main dealership, if you visit the workshop look beyond what you see as what really matters is not where your vehicle is repaired but how well it is done and the workshop staff are second to none in their knowledge and skill , The service and mot is due very soon and i will be returning again and again as long as i have the motor.
