Really fascinating place to visit. We went on the guided tour which was extremely interesting and our guide Simon (ex prison guard) was very informative. This is a truly brilliant place to explore but don't forget it's a decommissioned jail cold, gritty and unfriendly if I'm honest, but don't let this put you off go and visit while you have the chance.

Wicked place defo worth a visit
Such an interesting place to visit. We took the guided tour which was value for money as it was 2hrs long and guided by a prison officer. Really knowledgeable. Blinking cold tho wear your thermals and hat. Got to go round pretty much all the prison and go in the cells etc.
Very interesting place to visit. You can access most areas and see what prison life might be like. Lots of history. You can either go on a guided tour or pay a little less and look around on your own.
Went on a ghost walk, it was very delayed due to covid 19, all the staff were amazing as they tried there best to passify us { it was out of there control, however they took lots of abuse from impatient public and handed the situation the best they could} excellent service considering the pandemic situation. Thank you
Attended one of the paranormal events. Absolutely brilliant. Staff very informative of the history of hauntings
