Awaiting some normality then will immediately leave this practice. For some strange sense of loyalty we have stuck with them for many years. We have NEVER been offered an appointment (after the 5 - 10 minute wait on the phone) within three weeks of calling and it is normally 4 - 5 weeks to get to see someone. Be aware this is to see anyone not necessarily your doctor. Covid was the last straw. Both our "groups " were announced and nothing from Hadwen. No call, no text, no letter - nothing. Waited and waited. The next groups were announced. Nothing again from Hadwen. Finally rang up. Totally stunning response. "Its all the government's fault for altering the groups, people are now due their second vaccine, we can't cope with any of it" !!!! Asked about booking in on line as had seen this on the news - told " we don't understand how the government NHS online service works ". That day we both booked in on line and had our first vaccination in Boots Gloucester a week later. We also booked our second one ourselves . Then all over the local internet pages there were posts stating how well Hadwen are doing and how they are AHEAD of the vaccination programme ? They have taken on far too many registered patients (for which they get paid per head ) and still are taking more and more. They can and never will cope with the number of people in "normal" times and Corvid has massively expossed the problems there. Feel extremely let down by the practice. Just an after note - we still have heard nothing from them !

I personally feel that this is the best GP practice in Gloucester. Professional, kind and compassionate I highly recommend this GP practice.

I'm not a patient here but had to visit for an ultrasound recently. I was very impressed, the rooms were spotless and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The staff performing the scan were really professional and put me at ease. Keep up the good work in these difficult times!

I have never had a bad experience here and am surprised at other low scores. I am on repeat medication for a couple of ongoing reasons and then also will need just a very occasional appointment for anything else. I have found the ongoing patient care is very good in terms of communications and appointments regarding health checks/ flu jab etc and getting follow up appointments , and I have had the right level of care whenever needed with any other concerns. I think the health practice has adapted during the pandemic very well, and I have had very worthwhile appointments ( non Covid related) both by telephone and in person and my personal experience has been excellent.

I was shocked when I saw all of these negative reviews. Yes sometimes the doctor runs late because other patients have overrun. Yes sometimes prescriptions are quite exactly what you asked for. Yes some staff can be nicer than others. But on the whole this is an amazing practice. I've been here since my teens. Never once have I not been seen when I needed to be seen. Staff really do go above and beyond for their patients and a bit of respect and kindness back to them wouldn't go a miss. They're doing a tough job. General practice was not set up to manage ongoing chronic care. It was designed for acute help but with the growing list of people with chronic health conditions they have to increase their capacity and do everything the can to support all their patients. I wouldn't change practices for anything. The Hadwen team are an amazing group of staff who have looked after me and my family wonderfully over the years!

worst doctors i have ever been to and I have had at least 8 different doctors due to moving about. I phone up for a depression review and get told I will have a phone call in 24 hrs, a week has gone past no review. I have had my appointment cancelled countless times and doctors are always late. i ordered my tablets and they are ment to phone me wen there done 3 days later still no call go to chemist to find out they didn't send it through till that very day even though I put request in 1 week earlier. I suggest avoiding these as I am leaving and will be tell others to avoid them aswell

I can not fault my doctors. I listen to my colleagues and friends and hear their experiences of trying to get appointments like in 2 weeks time!! ....I have always been able to speak with someone on triage or see a Dr normally the same day. They are amazing and have been very accommodating when I have needed them. The office staff especially are very understanding and always helpful

Rude receptionist. Every time I try and make an appointment they tell me before finding out weather or not it is an emergency that they wont be able to fit me in. They dismiss first then ask questions. Once realising it is an emergency they should say sorry we will get you seen to, not carry on with a negative attitude while having to get me seen to. They would definitely benefit from customer service skills training or enlighten them on the 7 C's. They are the first person who is in charge of dealing with suicidal people and people in pain so they really should be polite and understanding not dismissive, rude and patronising. Your job is to book appointments to help people so do not act as if it is of a nuisance to you. Please change industry if helping people is not something which comes naturally to you as it is the wrong environment for you to be working in. However, the Nurses and Doctors here are GREAT and I could not fault them! This review is based purely on the shocking reception staff.
