Awful customer service ! I've been HSBC/Midland customer for over 20yrs. They dont care only interested in selling new products & getting money out of you. You ask staff member about my investments its 'dont deal with that - go use the phone' ! I spent hour on phone half the time on hold ! I wanted to simply close an account? I was shifted around to 2/3 different staff! Two-faced, incompetent, lazy, no knowledge or interest..

I have been a loyal Customer with HSBC for 15 years. However HSBC doesn’t care about its Customers, it only looks for new customers to expand its business. I recently tried to apply for a Mortgage with HSBC. I contacted the HSBC customer service several time but they were very rude and unwilling to help. Finally I managed to get hold of Gloucester branch Mortgage advisor ( Michelle Byrne) phone number. When I contacted her, she never answers the phone or text. She simply doesn’t care and is not bother about contacting back. Ashamed being a HSBC Advance customer.
