Said item would be delivered within 2 weeks as at now over 4 weeks rang customer services twice on hold trying get through both around 40 mins had someone say they were in the office would have to get in touch with warehouse and would get call back ... nothing , rang again which this lady was as helpful as she could and did ring back it had been 4 weeks and they were only just expecting item into them , a message to say it was delayed would have been good . I do not rate this company as with other items over time have ordered but have no choice as they are the only ones to supply my daughters school uniform in normal circumstances with such bad reviews you would not use and go elsewhere but they hold u over a barrel cant go elsewhere

Monkhouse Schoolwear have been really quick and efficient in helping me return parts of my daughter's school uniform that have become surplus to requirements because of the school closures. Whilst it took a while for parts of the order to arrive, I think this is reasonable given the unusual circumstances of the last year. Throughout our conversations online, by telephone and face to face they have been courteous and professional, accepting returns after long delays, again due to the current circumstances.
Waiting 3 weeks for my daughter's uniform. No update, no contact. Ring them and they end the call before you can even speak. Terrible! Why the school have chosen this joke service to provide uniform is beyond me.
Ordered new school skirts for my daughter. Incorrect size sent on one of them. Returned via Royal Mail, using Monkhouse Returns label. Item has been sat with Royal Mail since 15th Feb as their was no one to accept delivery at store. No attempt has been made to collect. Have emailed Monkhouse head office and no response received. Have also called head office and "mailbox is full" message comes up. The customer service from this company is shockingly bad and cannot all be blamed on a pandemic. The Gloucester store was so much better when it was Trutex.
I don't like giving poor reviews, but I have been waiting 6 months for a school polo shirt which my son might have already outgrown. I'm so disappointed and actually quite scared to order from here again incase the same thing happens again. There has been no regular follow-ups from the company to tell me where my items are, I have had to chase and chase.
Had to queue for ages outside, one in at a time, there were more staff in the shop than customers, I counted 7 whilst I waited patiently. Having waiting 20 minutes to be seen, they had no sizes available, the lady in front also left as they had no shirts available, The service is terrible, what ever happened to great customer service??? Staff really didn’t give a dame!
Sad to say my experiences have been pretty negative - trouble is they have no real competition, so thye gte the sales anyway
