Popped in for a small job - to make up and fit new registration plates. Got their name from the DVLA website and was very impressed with their friendly service and detailed workmanship. OK its a small easy job but so often these are the ones that go wrong (plates not quite straight, screw holes that don't line up, wrong coloured studs used etc). Friendly staff and efficient service and keen price. Well done guys - will definitely look to return to have more substantial work done when its needed.

Great garage, quality service, local friendly employees and very reasonable prices. I have been using NTM Services for the 6 years or so and they have looked after two of my cars. They even email you with reminders for servicing and MOTs etc. a very useful service for those of us who lead extremely busy working and private lives. I regularly recommend them to my friends and work colleagues.

5 months ago, I put my "new" second hand car in to NTM Services for a full service and (as it came with no service history at all) made a point to ask them to "do everything" and to check if the cam belt needed replacing. The cambelt was not replaced so I assumed it was fine. Now, the cambelt has snapped causing 1,750 worth of damage. After making a special effort to prevent this possible problem, I feel very let down by NTM Services whose advice I had previously trusted. Having consulted other garages subsequently, I've been told that no cambelt should ever simply be "checked". If there's no reliable service history, it must be replaced. The broken cambelt was inspected by another garage who told me that it was clearly very old and was in desperate need of replacing. My complaints about their negligence have fallen on deaf ears. They admitted that they hadn't even looked at the cambelt and merely stated that as it should already have been done at 63,000 miles, they considered it safe to assume that it had been done. I was offered a free "small" service and MOT as a token gesture. Disgraceful! I have not even received a response to my second letter. Needless to say, I will not be using them again. It seems that whilst their customer service is good (they always phone to quote before starting any work), their actual technical competence is not. Every garage that I've spoken to has said that they are negligent for not replacing the cambelt when requested and yet they have been completely unwilling to resolve this problem satisfactorily and keep me as a future customer. We all make mistakes, it just happens that I'm paying for theirs! I notice that they have also recently lost their ATA Registered Technician status according to the ATA website (although this has not been removed from the NTM website yet).
