Came for breakfast from the Premier Inn next door. Friendly staff and efficient service. Hot food cooked to order and ample fresh continental buffet. Lots of places to sit.

Would recommend this place. Ate here when staying at Premier Inn next door. Excellent service in the evening and breakfast. Both meals were very tasty and the ambience was great.

Arrived for 3.15 booking to be told only gamon left on carvery, ordered drinks, they came and mine was not what I had ordered. Had carvery, all food was uncovered and dry. Didn't finish meal. Ordered apple pie got apple flange not a piece of pastry in sight. Place is dated and needs uplifting. Shame

Carvery meats completely dried out. Had to tell them the gravy pot had boiled dry and was burning. Meal ordered from menu not at all as described. This place should be reported to Whitbread

Only had a drink in bar and not busy for Friday evening. Bar closed at 10pm for some reason so not sure if that was the reason it was quiet. Pleasant staff. Nice surroundings.

This is a dying business. I used to come here all the time and it was great, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was infectious. Now it is empty, the staff are demotivated and there is no atmosphere whatsoever. The bar doesn't even have all the draught taps active as they get so little business. Unless it's revamped here, it's not worth going, which is a great shame because it used to be a very nice local
