I had my first lesson with Paul at this company some years back (not Paul Williams himself) Despite not having driven anything larger than a van before, I was expected to be able to jump straight into a 18 tonne Scania and understand how the split shift gearbox worked from the get go. Essentially I was thrown straight into a mock test scenario. Paul was very unprofessional, abrupt and forward in his approach. Rather than provide guidance and explain what was required, he would raise his tone unnecessarily while doing very little to put me at ease as a learner. Needless to say, I didn't get back into a HGV ever again and subsequently went back to the field of work I know, where I no doubt earn a lot more money than I would had I persevered with my driver training. Looking back, perhaps Paul did me a favour, but equally this company is one to avoid if you're serious about class 1-2 driving.

Paul is an excellent trainer, very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I have really enjoyed my week of training with Paul and very pleased to have passed Category D PCV this morning. I highly recommend Paul for training for large vehicles.
