Fantastic fish and chip shop. Most definitely the best in the area. Fresh fish, great batter and oil used to fry tastes clean and fresh. Shame they aren't on one of the food delivery apps, but definitely worth the drive to go and collect. Very friendly and efficient staff as well.

Was very disappointed, lots of people say how good it is so thought we would try it out, asked for a large portion of chips, there was nothing large about this compared to other chippy's in the area, the large chips came in a smaller box than the sausages did? sausages seemed over cooked as well looked like they had been there for quite a while? service was ok and everything social distancing so happy about that, just disappointed on the portion size for the price.

Haddock and chips and curry sauce not very nice at all. Chips was undercooked and hard and the fish well am sure its meant to be in batter not just soggy so not drained before being served so when taken out of Box fish n chips come in was just stuck to greasy box. Curry sauce was the worst bit of all was no sauce about it just a big unstirred lump of non stirred curry mixture. So all in all very disappointing for 9.60 and unedible.

My family have been using this fish & chip shop for well over 15 years, which began because we used to live in Hucclecote. My parents moved a few miles away, and despite there being a few closer shops to their new address, they still make the journey and return to Ruddy's for their fish suppers. I always look forward to returning home (I not live some 80 miles away) for fish a chips, which has been out \go-to\ takeaway to eat in the garden at times when we couldn't mis indoors due to Covid.

Tasty, cheap food & friendly service. Proper local chippy that's been part of the community for over 80 years. The shop's been refitted and changed about at least twice in my time but the service and quality of the food have both remained fantastic. Good choice of food. Generous portions. Always hot. Never had a bad meal from here.
