The Surgery has been “temporarily” closed now for nearly seven months. There’s no way of contacting the Enquiry line as the number is permanently engaged. All staff are being concentrated at the other practice (several miles away) and the only way I could contact them recently was by phoning and saying that I was registered at the other practice. We have been with St James since moving to Quedgeley in 1994 but I really feel that patients at this surgery are getting “the thin end of the wedge”, COVID notwithstanding! Other Quedgeley residents feel the same way.
The receptionist are very rude.. And don't seem to know where to find patients notes, they give us the run around and still we cannot get an appointment. Even after waiting on the phone for 10-15mins.. We can't get any appointments for both adults and our children..not even if we have ongoing pains and suffering. Therefore always end up in minor injuries unit for children. In summary we constantly get fobbed off.
The doctor's and staff are very friendly and the waiting room is.very calm
I had an appointment today and the surgery calls me 50 minutes before my appointment is due to cancel after I have waited 5 months, if not more for this appointment and also swapped my shift, just to attend this appointment, as I have waited so long. They cancelled due to equipment and blamed it on covid, how convenient!. And told me to call back in a week. However you can hardly even get through to them either. This surgery is the worst I have signed to. You can never get appointments.
